
Is this shot by doug.deep even from this world? Well...it's from the undersea world.
Although it looks like a test for colorblindness, this brilliant, unusual, colorful image is actually a starfish -- an Asterodiscides truncatus, to be exact -- found at Sydney's Shark Point, Clovelly, at depth of around 55 feet. I love the amazing texture this image reveals, and the colors simply pop. Considering how infrequently we get bright, bold red images out of underwater shots, I have to rate this image as a favorite.
